Welcome to Serce-2-Sisu

Serce (Polish): Passion and Heart

Sisu (Finnish): Enigmatic power that enables individuals to push through. Indomitable Will

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide you with as much motivation, inspiration, guidance, accountability and education as necessary for reaching the “Best Version of You”. We want to improve the quality of life utilizing the tools of Strength, Movement, Fitness, and Nutrition.

Establish ourselves as a leader in Strength, Movement, Fitness, Nutrition, and Health practices in Northern Wisconsin. We solidify our mission through passion, persistence, honesty, and integrity. We provide value by allowing our athletes to realize their fullest potential of health and fitness.

First, we believe without a doubt, that physical activity is the most underutilized anti-depressant in our society today. Secondly, we strongly feel, it is not because we get “old” that we lose the ability to play…it is because we no longer play that causes us to get “old”.

Our goal is to change the perception and culture of how people view strength, movement and fitness. Our Facility’s name Serce-2-Sisu resides deep in our core. To have and acquire an Indomitable Will, one must first be Passionate…and rest assured, we are passionate about helping others.

We will continue to be passionate and gritty as we strive to create a culture that allows people, of all walks, to see the true value in themselves. We do not want to “change” you…we simply want to create a “path” where you can begin your journey to becoming the “Best Possible Version of You."

Eric Filipiak

About Eric

I have worked in the health and fitness industry since 2001, treating every person as an individual and creating an environment that allows them to strive and reach success. I hold an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology. I provide a diverse and strong educational background to the Health Fitness Industry having worked with a wide demographic of individuals and groups ranging from youth all the way to the geriatric population. I provide value of meeting and exceeding expectations with the individuals and groups I work with. Unlike many online coaches or trainers, I have “been in the trenches” and am passionate about creating change in the culture of fitness and movement!

As a coach, I love working with our athletes to help them achieve their individual goals. I challenge each person that comes through the door, and take tremendous pride in seeing our athletes grow stronger each day. I enjoy seeing the Serce-2-Sisu Community grow as new members join and embrace everything they have to offer. Starting and owning Serce-2-Sisu is definitely a dream come true for me. I’ve always wanted a place to share my passion for fitness, movement and creating a better quality of life for people and I am excited to see how the community of believers continues to grow. I simply want to help you on your Journey of becoming the “Best Version of You”.

About Grant

I am a Coach at Serce-2-Sisu Fitness and Movement. I was born and raised in Merrill. During my High School career I played Football for The Bluejays. I attended College at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science. During my time there I lifted for the UWL Olympic Weightlifting Team. My Senior year I won Teammate and Athlete of the Year which earned me a spot on the UWL Sport All-Star Team.

My passion for coaching and for fitness all began in Merrill, so after graduation I decided to reach out to Serce-2-Sisu Fitness and Movement for an opportunity to further my career as well as give back to the community that gave so much to me. When I think of coaching it means that every minute of everyday I am committed to helping people achieve their goals and show them how to get there.

Coaching has always been a passion of mine ever since I was in Middle School. I’ve always had coaches while growing up that believed in me and never gave up on helping me get to be where I wanted to be even when I thought that it was a dream or lofty goal. Being that individual that helps others achieve things that they thought they’d never be able to do is what I’m dedicated to and drives me each and every day.
